I have some great ideas for the Mustang Museum this year. As you can see in the photos below there are dots everywhere! We even have a twister game in there! Here are some of the activities we have planned.
Visual Thinking Routines will stretch our minds! Students will express their thoughts on the works of art.
Students will create pictures with Lite Brite's in the circus tent.
There are two listening stations that will focus on contemporary artists Chuck Close and Eric Daigh.
There is a Color Mixing QR Code Scavenger Hunt for younger grades.
Students will create portraits on the ipad using the app "Artify".
Students will use the ipads to scan QR codes which will take them to links about works of art or artists.
Students will create our own version of "Sunday Afternoon" by learning about the artist Eric Daigh, who creates portraits by using push pins.
Students will use the digital camera or ipad to identify and photograph the elements and principles of art in the featured paintings.
Students can act out a play about Seurat.
Using the timeline, students will investigate and answer questions about Seurat's art work.
Finally, we will dress up with clothing and props from Seurat's time period and use a green screen to put ourselves in the paintings.
Check back to see us in action!
